  MAR 13, 2004 - President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, in an expected twist, has endorsed the candidacy of San Andres Mayor Joseph “Buboy” Cua for the position of Governor of Catanduanes, thereby practically dumping the re-election bid of Governor Leandro B. Verceles, Jr. Apparently, the President has already realized the fast diminishing popularity of Governor Verceles because of the numerous graft and corruption charges against him.
